Audi’s Awesome A3

If you are looking for the lowdown on Audis premium hatchback, you have come to the right place. Below, you can find out about its interior and exterior, specs, and the seating space you can expect if you invest in the new car.

Interior

There is plenty to impress and enthrall in the Audi A3s interior. With one of the most impressive features being the infotainment system that comes as standard. A system that includes bang and Olufsen surround if you go for the Vorsprung option.

Additionally, there are two screens instead of the usual one, with the second being placed behind the steering wheel to provide a cockpit type experience for the driver. Something that can make navigating with the sat nav and changing from track to track a lot easier. You will find that both screens include bright graphics as well, and work with smartphone integration.

Also, the interior of the A3 is well decked out with largely quality fixtures and fittings. However,  perfection isn't quite achieved as there are a few cheaper, more plastic-feeling materials used in the interior construction.

Exterior

The Audi A3s exterior is the epitome of a sleek, compact hatchback. In fact, you will find modern lines and unique paintwork options that will work for most tastes. Not completely unlike the Lexus NX300h.

Then there is that massive front grille that certainly makes a visual impact. While the modern but understated front and rear lights offer great functionality without the Cylon-like frills of other manufacturers.

Specs

The Audi A3 is not a cheap option, and you can expect to pay around £28-40,000 for an A3, depending on the features and extras you choose. Oh, and there are plenty that will tempt you too. However, you can keep buying and running costs down by going for the standard specs.

Additionally, you can also keep the A3's running costs low by shop around for insurance. Something likely to be a lot less than similar cars by competitors like BMW. In fact, one sure compares quotes for you, which means you can be sure of the best price. All, without having to do the boring and tedious leg work.

The engine for the TFSI MHEV S Tronic Sport A3 options is 1.5-liter 4cyl turbocharged petrol. It is a mild hybrid with 148bhp/250Nm power and torque. That means you can expect a top speed of 139mph and 0-62 mph in less than 8.5 seconds.

Seating and Space

While the interior and exterior aesthetic may be what first dares you to this car, it's important to remember that it is a roomy model with plenty of space as well. In fact, you will find lots of head and shoulder room in the front of the vehicle.

The seats are also comfortable and supportive, with extra options for automatic adjustment and heating—the latter making those long winter journeys a breeze.

Unfortunately, the A3 isn't the roomiest car in the back and doesn't hold a candle to SUV models. However, there is enough room for 1-2 adults or up to 3 children. Although it's best to keep luggage in the seating area to a minimum to maximize the space.

Final thoughts

In summary, the Audi A 3 2020 edition is a sleek looking car that functions as a great allrounder. Something that makes it a worthwhile investment for both Audi and compact car enthusiasts alike.
