Superb Salon Prive In The Sun At Blenheim Palace.

I was fortunate to be invited to the annual Salon Prive event, attending on the first specific Press day they have held in their history. Driving up the main entrance to Blenheim Palace is awe-inspiring, the stunning presence of the yellow stone building at the end of a long road.

The Press day was set up to allow manufacturers an opportunity to launch new cars to the media and get the global coverage they desire. Out of the cars that were launched only one captured my interest and that was the Aero3 from Superleggera meaning Super Light in Italian. The brand design cars for other marques such as Aston Martin but have always created their own beautiful machines.

This unique version has the colours and number of an historic Alfa racing car, which the owner wanted to replicate. He has two helmets in the rear compartment also detailed in the the racing number. This is a beautiful car.

The other cars launched were not appealing as they were hypercars which will be produced in limited numbers, probably not see the road and end up in a warehouse on display for it’s millionaire owner.

This Jaguar is a beautiful example of what a car should be like.

A gorgeous Aston Martin Superleggera pure Automotive Art.

Salon Prive does offer the opportunity to walk around a beautiful setting, seeing exquisite classic cars and motorcycles.

Italian’s love their cars and motorcycles, they pride themselves on producing sublime models of both. The MV Agusta Superveloce 800 clearly showcases this passion for beauty. The great team at KrazyHorse had a stand at the event featuring most of the MV range of bikes. I will be riding the desirable Superveloce 800 soon, so watch out for a full review. I can’t wait.

Another Italian delight. Ferrari at its best.

Bond was somewhere in the crowd but he is so good at hiding I never saw him.

I would have liked to have seen a parade ring where the classic cars and motorcycles could have paraded around. I prefer to see machines moving and hearing them, then seeing them static like a museum piece. I thoroughly enjoyed my day at Salon Prive and want to thank the organisers for inviting me. Hope to see you next year, Cheers.
