The Lotus Driving Academy has revealed an expanded driver experience programme and new additions to the fleet for 2020. Enthusiasts can now take the wheel of the latest Lotus Exige Sport 410 at the iconic Hethel track, the historic home of the Lotus marque.  The new Exige Sport 410 will be used on Exige Experience Days, Gold and Platinum events, the latter where drivers can hone skills such as plotting a line through a corner and learn how to use data logging.

The Norfolk-based facility has also announced its 2020 calendar, with further dates added next year to satisfy demand from experienced drivers advancing through the renowned Lotus Licence; a course that allows drivers to follow a progressive driver development programme either over a weekend or spread across the year.

Three Carbon Edition courses have also been added to the 2020 roster. Building on the hugely popular Lotus Licence, the Carbon Edition course adds an additional day of training with highly experienced instructors, to take drivers from Bronze through to Platinum level across four back to back days at a cost of £2799.

Simon Poole, manager Lotus Driving Academy said: “The renowned Lotus Driving Academy provides the unique opportunity to enjoy the pure driving experience of a Lotus sports car right where they were conceived. 2020 will see us run more experiences to cater for growing demand.”

Beyond the track driving, the Lotus Driving Academy will continue to offer more activities than are typically found at other experience days. Visitors to all events at the Lotus Driving Academy can take part in a factory tour, giving a unique insight into the passion, design, engineering and quality that goes into making Lotus cars, as well as learning about the history and heritage that underpins the iconic marque.

In addition, tours of the recently expanded Classic Team Lotus workshop form part of some experiences, allowing visitors to witness up close, the most historically significant Lotus F1 cars being prepared.

2020 prices start at £149 for the Scare Yourself Sensible experience with bookings now possible at the Lotus Driving Academy website – www.lotusdrivingacademy.com
